KSL were contacted by a refurbishment contractor in London to design, supply and install a dedicated cooling system for a prestigious London based company. The air-conditioning design brief was to be based upon a high computer heat load but without spare floor space for floor mounted cooling fan coil units. In addition we were to allow for a stand by air-conditioning unit to back up the two wall mounted split systems which would all function on a weekly rotating basis to equal out the running hours.
The refrigeration pipe run was investigated in conjunction with the cooling duty required and a decision was made to propose three (3) number Mitsubishi Electric wall mounted split systems, each capable of 10kws total cooling duty. The Mitsubishi Electric split systems are inverter controlled and therefore energy efficient there operation with the ability to increase or decrease the capacity of cooling depending on the communications room heat load.
